5 Pieces that you Need in Your Winter Wardrobe

One of the things that I love about Fall and Winter is how seamless your wardrobe can cross over by adding more layers to adjust of the colder months of Winter.  There is really no need to change up your wardrobes color palette, just add more textures and layers and you are good to go!

However, there are some essentials that you should have to complete your Winter wardrobe.  These are key, but versatile pieces that you will be able to style different ways to keep your Winter style fresh and new without having to hit the mall every weekend.

Remember, fashion is not all about buying the new trendy pieces every time a retailer or designer tells you that that particular garment is “it” for this season.  You want to mix in those trendy pieces with classic pieces that can be season-less and worn year after year in trendy ways.

Check out the 5 essential pieces that you need to add to your Winter wardrobe below!

white shirt

If you do not have a crisp white button down, then stop reading this post and go to your local mall now and get one – no finish reading and then go. Please. And Thank You!  This button-up will be your go to layering piece, or you can wear it alone for a chic and laid back feel.

Distressed Jeans

Distressed jeans are not going anywhere anytime soon.  I love how rugged and ‘bad-ass’ they can be.  You can dress these jeans up or down with your favorite heels.

chunky sweater

A chunky knit sweater is definitely a staple for the colder weather.  You can have a few of them in bright or neutral hues.  They can be added to your outfit as a layering or stand alone piece.

Faux-Fur-Collar-Black-Belted-Coat

A faux fur trimmed coat that is cinched at the waist gives you texture and also shape which is important when you are dressing in layers this Winter.  You do not want to loose your shape just because you are wearing layers!

A flat over the knee boot will give you an added level of muted chic-ness for everyday.  Style does not have to be uncomfortable.  Your feet will thank you and your outfit will look fab all at the same time.

Venus

Androgynous anchored with class and splashes of trendy is how I would describe my style with my bottom line style category being boho-chic. I love to challenge myself with new experiences and surrounding myself with positivity. Detroit raised me and Atlanta is grooming me. Sit back and enjoy the ride...I promise you this will be good. http://pinkklipstick.com
