- Improper Undergarments
I am sure that every woman has heard this before, but “a better bra makes for a better you.” This is true, because you want the “ladies” to sit nice and right. A well fitting bra can make you look slimmer and enhance an hour-glass figure. So go to your nearest department or intimate apparel store and have your cha-chas measured as well as fitted for a new bra.
- Short and Tight
Truthfully not all women can rock a mini bodycon dress effortlessly and sexily without crossing the line of distastefulness. This is not to say that only stick thin models can wear mini dresses or bodycon dresses. I celebrate all bodies, yet the key to being sexy is highlighting just one feature. So if you have beautiful legs show them off in a nice short skirt, if you have strong arms display them in a strapless dress.
- Not Mixing Patterns
I know that it can be daunting trying to figure out whether stripes and polka dots can go together. Mixing patterns is a little bit of an art, but it does not have to be difficult. The simple rule is that whatever print you are mixing and matching keep them all in the same color family. Additionally, one of the patterns or prints has to be more muted whether in tone or design. While it takes a little practice to master this styling concept it offers great rewards such as extending your wardrobe options and a bold effect.
- Suffocating Shapewear
There is a common misnomer that Spanx and other shapewear will rid you of your stomach and/or make you thinner. That is not the purpose of shapewear it will not help you drop a dress size nor will it flatten your tummy. Rather it will give you one smooth shape, which allows for others to follow the wonderful curves of your body. Also it can help to minimize the appearance of cellulite and panty lines. Be sure to buy your appropriate size in shapewear do not size down as it will only enhance the troubling areas you want to smooth.
- Less is More
While in some cases less is actually more. When it comes to fashion more can be just enough. I believe that we hold so tightly to fashion rules that we forget sometimes to just have fun. So layer up your necklaces, stack your rings and bracelets.
