Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are headed to TV—and they aren’t doing a reality show! They are taking part of HGTV’s flipping house project. The Wades will take part of a 17 series line up premiering through spring and summer 2016.
The show will follow the couple along their journey as they: renovate, revitalize and resell a home in a suburban Florida neighborhood. Apparently, the new show will be a celebrity version of the network’s popular duo of married house flippers Tarek and Christina El Moussa in the Flip or Flop program. The upcoming series is actually up Union’s alley as she has mentioned in the past that she would like to take part of a project that isn’t your average reality TV.
“Like travel shows or a cooking show – nothing that anyone would want to see us doing. A cuddle show, where we just cuddle and watch HGTV. That would be like our saucy reality show,” she mentions.
Although a date has yet to be announced the project is still underway but they are hoping to finalize a few details according to Wade. “We’ll see how it goes,” he says.” “It depends on kind of if it’s going to start off as an episode. But it depends on if we want to cut it up, if we want to make a series out of it. All that stuff is still going to be finalized at a later date. But right now we’re green-lighted to get our show going.”
Sounds like a interesting show! Will you be watching the Wades flipping houses?
