Hot on the heels of their record-setting Coachella debut, this year’s breakout DJ/producer duo The Chainsmokers have unveiled the official video for their Gold-certified current single “Don’t Let Me Down” – check it out HERE. While driving their tricked out vintage lowrider through the woods, The Chainsmokers and Daya’s worlds collide, leading to an unexpected turn of events. The video was directed by Marcus Kuhne and shot in Los Angeles. Fans can catch the broadcast premiere of the video today on MTV at 7:55PM EST and the guys will be taking over the MTV Snapchat Discover channel ALL DAY ahead of the premiere.
“Don’t Let Me Down,” which follows the duo’s double-platinum smash hit “Roses,” recently broke into the Top 5 on iTunes’ Top Songs chart and currently sits at #1 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart and #14 on The Hot 100. Occupying the #1 spot on iTunes’ Top Dance songs chart, the track is continuing to climb on the radio front as it jumps to #14 at Pop airplay and officially captures the #1 spot at Dance airplay. The song is also the second-most tagged song in the U.S. on Shazam. Internationally, “Don’t Let me Down” is already certified Platinum in Norway and Gold in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and Sweden. It’s also currently #3 on the Global Dance Shazam chart, #8 on the worldwide Shazam chart, and #8 on the Global Spotify chart. The song has garnered over 122 Million Spotify streams worldwide.
The video follows The Chainsmokers’ two incredible performances at Coachella, where they drew an enormous crowd of over 20,000 people at the Sahara Tent and featured guest appearances from a variety of music stars, including G-Eazy, Tiesto, Third Eye Blind, Walk the Moon, Daya, Big Gigantic and Rozes.
