After a 14 year stretch, Alber Elbaz is leaving his footprint in the fashion world at Paris Fashion House Lanvin.
After years of hard work, a seldom mood and tears filled the room as Elbaz’s design team heard the news that he would no longer be a part of Lanvin. He also would not be a part of the fall collection for 2015. So what led to this shocking event? Rumors are rising that tension were high between Elbaz and the company as he complained about the lack of clear strategy and investment in the brand.
Elbaz left in a classy way by writing a note saying:
“I wish to express my gratitude and warm thoughts to all those who have worked with me passionately on the revival of Lanvin over the last 14 years; express my affection to all my wonderful colleagues in the Lanvin ateliers who accompanied me, and who enriched and supported my work,”
While the details are not clear, one thing is sure. This is not the last that we will see of the great Alber Elbaz.
Speculation is rising that he may step over to Simmons at Dior.
Elbaz will most likely continue to put his flare in fashion.
