It has been a LONG, emphasis on long, time since we heard from the youngest member of The Jackson Family, Janet. Well now this superstar–no icon–is back with some amazing news! As you recall, Janet Jackson has been a borderline recluse since her marriage to Qatari businessman and billionaire, Wissam Al Mana, in 2012. It looks like Janet is done with her “break from the world” and promises new music and get this, a world tour this year!
Ms. Jackson (“…if you nasty…”), announced via a video she tweeted out with the hashtag, #ConversationsInACafe. “I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” Jackson said in the video, referencing a tweet she sent last year to stop rumors that a new album was in the works. “This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going.” I would expect nothing less from a Jackson. The announcement is so simple, yet grand at that!
Janet’s last album was 2008’s Discipline which did not fair so well on the music charts. Let’s hope this time around sales, songs, and numbers show us that amazing woman still has what it takes to make the kids–I meant divas–run for their money.
