1. Tell us what this book is about?
My latest novel is titled, Double Proposal. The main character, Monique Kennedy, is a full-figured sistah who has been celibate since the birth of her three-year-old daughter and living single in New Orleans. After relocating to Tallahassee for a new job, she meets Prince Conyers and falls in love. Three months later, he proposes marriage, and that is when her baby daddy returns with devastating news and a proposal of his own. Will she choose the lover who abandoned her three years ago or the prince she has only known for three months?
2. Why did you choose to write this book?
I chose to write this book because I’ve always wanted to write a story about a single, full-figured woman doing it for herself with a healthy dose of confidence. So far, it has received very positive reviews and some readers have even mentioned that was one of the things they loved about this book.
3. Tell us why your writing is unique?
My writing is unique because I write classic love stories that will stand the test of time, not popular fiction. I try to give each main character a distinctive voice and personal style but with universal appeal for readers.
4. What can we look forward from you?
You can look forward to me releasing another novel in February titled, First Class Love. Since November 2014 will be the tenth anniversary of my first novel titled, Forgive Us This Day, I will be releasing an updated version of it for my dedicated readers on eBook only. And as the co-founder of the Tallahassee Authors Network, I hope to keep bringing published authors, unpublished writers, and avid readers together to learn from one another.
