Wild child Rihanna does what she wants especially when she goes home for Carnival. The sexy hot singer reportedly doesn’t miss the opportunity to go home for the Kadooment Day Parade each year. She literally let it all hang out as she partied with gal pals winding through the streets of Barbados with flask in hand.
This year, she opted for a white costume, which was a bikini comprised of appliqués, feathers, iridescent over-sized rhinestones and wonder woman cuffs. This gave her yet another opportunity to be half dressed and show off her unique tattoos. I particularly liked her untamed pixie hair cut. Her makeup was flawless and made her look angelic…from the neck up.
Rihanna’s costume was literally a show stopper, but is nothing short of what we expect from her. While the costume is debatable and rides the fine line of classy and raunchy, she is well within the guidelines in her attire and behavior for the occasion thus far. Who goes to Carnival anywhere to be a wall-flower? That’s against tradition.
I think we can all agree that Rihanna had a better weekend than we did. Being an active participant in Carnival, Ri Ri may want to give thought to starting a costume line. This could be a fun, profitable way to keep the culture thriving and put her stamp on it. I wonder if we will see any Caribbean influences and ties to Carnival in her Rihanna For River Island clothing line. What do you think of her costume?
