Summer can bring oil and sweat production, skin problems that seem to increase right along with the temperature. That’s why we have a list of some beauty DIYs that can keep you looking your best all summer long and the best part is that they’re inexpensive and all-natural.

1. Smooth, sexy legs and feet: Here are some DIYs skip the spa, and take time while you shave, exfoliate your legs and use a sharp razor for a smooth, closer shave. Soak and massage your feet with Epsom salt to help keep them happy. Gently exfoliating at least once or twice a week, your legs can be healthy, soft and blemish-free. Follow up with a wonderful moisturizer. Add few drops of peppermint or lavender essential oil to your moisturizer to keep your feet fresh and smelling great. The best way to achieve smooth, silky legs is to use a small amount of coconut oil and massage it on your legs for few mins to improve circulation. Keep your legs toned and in the best shape all year long, by regularly exercising several times a week.

Reverse summer hair damage: Overexposure to the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays can damage the hair cuticles, hence fixing the damage is absolutely essential. Coconut oil is a miracle product for your hair. Applying it as your conditioner or as a mask before you head out can do wonders for your hair. Smooth a small amount of oil on your hair to not only add a natural shine and softness but also protect your hair from the sun. If you have been out for long then you can also use it when you come in from the sun as an after treatment oil before washing and conditioning to repair any hair damage. Spray your hair down with a lightweight leave in conditioner or a natural homemade coconut milk conditioner to restore moisture as well as reduce frizz and hair damage. Give your hair an aspirin treatment to reduce discoloration from chlorine. Dissolve between 4-6 aspirin tablets in a glass of warm water. Run the mixture through your hair, leaving it in for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing it out with cold water. Try this hair repair mask that will add shine and softness to your hair.

1 tablespoon castor oil
1 tablespoon coconut oil
2 tablespoons of coconut milk

In a small saucepan, heat castor oil, coconut oils and coconut milk until slightly warm, mixing together. Remove from heat and cool. Massage mixture through hair and comb through carefully. Leave on for 15-30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

3.
