The BET Awards last night was quite a sight. Some stars shined bright while others were a sight for sore eyes. There were many trend spot it last night! There were many trends spotted last night. There were also many things that never needed to be seen again. From the red carpet to the very end of the night the ladies and gentlemen of black entertainment showed off their stuff.
My all-time favorite trend of the night was the tapered suit look that many women actually wore last night. The ravishing Rihanna, attractive Amber Rose, beautiful Blac Chyna, cute Karrueche, and charismatic Keyshia Cole all came in some form of a suit. While Rihanna took a different approach by paring her suit top with shorts the other ladies paired theirs with pants. Even though Rihanna didn’t perform she slayed shamelessly from her seat! Amber Rose and Blac Chyna chose to be twins in all white they paired their pants with a tube top and a blazer. Karrueche stole our hearts with her silvery tresses and her Stello suit paired with a cute little bralette. Keyshia Cole had us feeling blue in the best possible way matching from her hair to her shoes. The Classic Man, Jidenna showed up just as dapper as these lovely ladies!
My second favorite trend of night was the drape and cape look that women like Demitra, Monica, and Janelle Monae dawned the red carpet in. They looked like beautiful goddesses glowing in their gowns!
Last but certainly not least my last fave trend and best dressed peeps goes to the mini dress gang! This gang included Angela Simmons in her lacey look, futuristic baby doll inspired Brandy, tall glass of sparkling ice water Zendaya, and Xena Warrior Princess inspired Justine Skye!
Some questionable ensembles included Bobby Valentino, August Alsina, LaLa Anthony, Kelly Rowland, Domonique and Deitrick Haddon! What went wrong here! It was like a bad cos play or costume party! Bobby V came as a power ranger, August came as the Shadow Man from the Princess and the Frog, LaLa ???, Kelly Rowland graced us as the black Big Bird, and the Haddons looked like some animal and a checker board!!!
