Beyoncé Scores Sixth No. 1 Album With “Lemonade”

With her Formation World Tour kicking off in Miami last week, Beyonce also became the only artist ever to ever have all six of her first studio efforts to top sales charts. The 12-song visual album, which hit iTunes on Monday night, is still only found on Tidal for streaming usage. Luckily, fans who haven’t made the full transition to the digital world, will get their hands on Bey’s physical copy later this week, when the new album hits retailers on May 6th and I’m completely excited for that.

Last night Bey performed in Atlanta and we hear the show went. She did new and old music plus she paid tribute to Prince. It’s been seven days since the premier of Lemonade on HBO, Beyoncé’s official first week sales for Lemonade have finally arrived. Queen Bey has yet again topped Billboard’s top 200 list, making this her sixth overall no. 1 album debut since 2003. According to Nielsen Music, the new project generated a little over 653,000 equivalent album units in its first seven days, with pure album sales totaling 485,000.

Beyonces bey hive fan base always supports her, I can see Beyonces album going platinum by the end of May tak my word on it. After that, I think we should at least get something from Jay-z giving his male point of view. After all, we’ve yet to find out who Becky with the good hair is.
