The annual Victoria Secret Runway Show went down the other night in a major way! Not surprising seeing that Victoria Secret is known for putting on the biggest lingerie showcase known to man and television. Beautiful supermodels from around the world graced the runway in Paris this year. This year’s showcase featured 51 models in 82 looks, with a roster that included Adriana Lima, Irina Shayk, Joan Smalls, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kendall Jenner and sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid. Jasmine Tookes wore the $3 million Bright Night bra set with an estimated 450 karats of diamonds and emeralds designed by Eddie Borgo. Although the models were the main focus of the night, the performances taken place definitely help set the tone for the eventful occasion.
Lady GaGa was one of the performers of the evening as well as The Weeknd who kept the models grooving in the back, while one performer of the evening almost took over the show with his awesome performance, Bruno Mars!
Mars decked out in a fur coat and shades put on an energetic performance. Sources say the global superstar took over the runway in Paris at the Le Grand Palais. The “24K Magic” singer and his band The Hooligans were styled in Tommy Hilfiger tuxedos and definitely put on a grand performance for the already hype show.
The event this year took about eighteen months in the making, with only two weeks to set up. With an estimated investment in over $20 million, this was by far the most expensive fashion show ever! With all of that being said this year’s show is one not to be missed. Expecting to smash records in audience viewership this year, the official broadcast of this spectacular show will be on Monday, December 5th at 10pm eastern on CBS, and we can’t wait!
