Our favorite British model, Cara Delevingne, teamed up with Mulberry for a backpack line for the coming fall season. Mulberry’s profits were falling this year, so this collaboration is just the thing to bring traffic back to the brand.
Cara first released her line of convertible leather backpacks at this past Fashion Week and shot photos for an editorial featuring them that were released Wednesday night (not to be confused with the official ad campaign for the collection). She shot the editorial in collaboration with Claridge’s Hotel, who will be giving away one of her bags, signed by the model-turned-actress-turned designer. In one of the photos that was shot, Cara just so happened to be nude! The image wasn’t intended to be released, but it’s been all over the internet. But it turns out that Cara often turns down movie roles that require nude scenes because she “wants to keep her morals.”
Donned in Mulberry’s whimsical fashion, Cara poses with an adorable little puppy and a white owl in this spread. Mulberry also released a video that went behind-the-scenes as Cara went through the design process, sharing her feelings about being a muse for the label and how she added her own personal touches to the handbags that she created.
We love the spread and these fabulous looks that Cara is wearing, especially the fur jacket! Here are a few pictures from the spread. Enjoy!
