Ok today is Throw Back Thursday and every social media outlet is going crazy with the famous #TBT hashtag. From baby pictures, high school memories, and even outings with friends, #TBT has taken the nation by storm. Today we are paying homage to retro styles that are still relevant in today’s society. No matter how time flies, these styles will always be up to date!
- One Sided Hairdo: This style has survived through the 80’s all the way till now. This trendy hair style has been seen on runways, red carpets, and even at your school. Want to create the same look? Well first you don’t have to shave one side of your head! Mold and secure one side of your head after hair is washed and ready to style. The hair that is not secured, you can create either a polished look with bone straight hair, or even glam it up with some retro curls!
- Fishtail Braid: If you are interested in getting back to your inner mermaid, this braid will work for you. This braid is tighter than the typical braid and can work wonders for a night on the town or even a day full of fun in the sun!
- Short Hair with Movement: Move over unconventional bob! Short hair is no longer flat and full of joy! Just because you have short hair does not mean you can not create volume and or life in your hair! Here is a great tip. After washing and conditioning your hair as normal, use the comb attachment that goes along with your portable hair dryer. Starting at the roots, comb through the roots adding volume to the hair. Before you seal the deal, utilize your flat irons to create more volume or curls and style different from the normal. A cascading/feathered bang is a great way to add spark to your short hair with life.
