When you don’t have time or the funds to go to the nail shop, a home manicure is quick and easy. However, it almost seems pointless when you know the nail polish will chip in a few days. Piling on numerous coats can work but it will take you all day to remove the polish when its time. Well ladies, the solution can be found right in your pantry. Believe it or not, your nail polish can last longer by simply dipping your fingers in vinegar.
All you need is a cup of warm water mixed with a couple tablespoons of vinegar. Before you paint your nails, soak them in the water and vinegar. Vinegar helps to remove the excess oils from your nails. This will allow the lacquer to form a stronger bond with you nails. This tip can be used on your toes too! Instead of soaking your feet, use a cotton ball to dip into the water and vinegar mixture. Then rub each toe before applying your polish. I have personally used this tactic and it does actually work. Your polish will eventually chip, but the vinegar makes it last a little more longer than usual. Give it a try and tell us what you think!
