The Austrian transsexual and winner of the last European song contest, Conchita Wurst appears in the fall issue of the fashion magazine alongside Karl Lagerfeld and Ashleigh Good.
The black and white photos revealing Conchita in haute-couture lingerie are quite unique and intriguing. While the portraits with Lagerfeld are more classical and emphasize Wurst’s strength character, the ones showing Conchita sitting on the laps of the pregnant Ashleigh Good are more provocative. However, Lagerfeld describes the scene as a game of volumes: “a skinny musician next to a pregnant top model”.
But the drag queen also got a solo photo shoot. Dressed in a Givenchy pair of pants and a fur jacket, Conchita looks stunning with his epic beard and glossy hair.
The 25-year-old singer, who recently walked down the runway for Jean-Paul Gaultier is obviously becoming a new image for the world. In fact, the legendary Chanel creative director, Karl Lagerfeld admires him not only for his voice but because “he has done something that’s never been done before.”
