Converse Modernizes Chuck Taylor All Star with Nike “Flyknit” Tech

Converse Flyknit

Converse has announced that it will be releasing the new “Flyknit” Chuck Taylor All Stars soon. This new design is the modern answer to the redesign of the classic sneaker. The new design is a lightweight, breathable sneaker that gives you more support than the previous version. Coupled with Nike “Flyknit” technology, the shoe gives you support where you need it, while the Nike Lunarlon insole provides the cushioning that you never got.

The sneakers feature “Flyknit” uppers that come in all-white tonal design. It has a pure white “Flyknit” wear upper, neoprene lining and Lunarlon insole for cushioning and comfort. The design continues on with a weave tongue tab.

Chuck Talor All Stars have been around since 1917. Originally, the sneaker was intended to only be a basketball shoe. It later became the most successfully selling basketball shoe in history. Over the years is has changed some but the design has always remained simplistic. The silhouette is timeless and the patch on the side is unmistakable. The shoe even kept its signature vulcanized rubber sole. Within the last couple of decades, it has sported many different designs, mostly for novelty purposes. However, the classic Chuck Taylor All Stars have never gone out of demand.

Nike has had ownership over Converse for over two decades now. However, this is the first time that it has crossed some of its technology for its own sneakers over into Converse’s products. The new “Flyknit” Chuck Taylor All Star will be the first non-Nike show to receive “Flyknit” technology. The introductory shoe will be all white, but other colors will include Black.Storm Wind, Wolf Grey/Cool Grey, Green Glow/Rio Teal, Casino Rhubarb and White Mono True Indigo/Soar.

The new “Flyknit” Chuck Taylor All Stars are set to come out on Thursday, April 27th of this year. No prices have been announced yet, however they will be available at all retailers who sell Nike and Converse sneakers.
