If you thought there was any chance of Kevin Hart burning out any time soon, you’d better check the resume: blockbuster comedy specials, coupled with movies commanding top spots at the box office and, not to mention, a barrier breaking deal with Nike, just to scratch the surface.
With all of this winning, you would think that Kevin Hart is losing his mind. Quite the opposite, in fact. He is truly Shining.
Kevin Hart wrote this book using a “glass half full” perspective on life. He teaches lessons learned along his rocky road to success. And, in genius fashion, the powerhouse comic is careful to preserve the funny. As noted by the stories of being sheltered by his mother, often traumatized by his father, and separated from his brother, the healing power of humor is not lost on the
self-proclaimed “mama’s boy”.
Hart projects high energy and quick wit, often seen in his stand-up routines. In similar fashion, he opted to narrate the audio version of the book. Throughout the story, Hart jokes, ad libs, and even communicates with people who were around him as he wrote.
Narrating an audio book falls under the Grammy’s category for Best Spoken Word Album. The mega watt comedian’s work is, therefore, indeed eligible for submission. All things considered, Kevin Hart could actually be on track to add “Grammy award winner” to his list of credentials. Unless of course, Chocolate Droppa’ gives him a run for his money. Ouch, that could be a close one. Care to wage a bet?
