I am so estatic about my favorite group of women and their new album entitled “DK3”. We are all well of aware of the changes they went through as a group but as the saying goes, “only the strongest survive”. From the name of their album, we can clearly see who is still apart of Danity Kane. With a combination of sex appeal, killer vocals, and dance moves that can leave you with broken ankles, these girls know how to put on a performance! I had the chance to experience them at a concert in Las Vegas and I was surely amazed!
The way their voices blend together is like a sweet melody straight from heaven. Danity Kane is a girl group that embodies all of the qualities of a successful girl group in the music industry. Not to mention their track record is not that bad. The pop-trio consisting of Dawn Richards, Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. To be honest, I have been patiently waiting for them to release new music. It was well worth the wait! But all good things come to end because this was their last album as a trio.
The album “DK3” was released on October 27, 2014 via Mass Appeal Records. The highly anticipated project featured contributions from Jonathan Yip, the production team The Stereotypes (John Legend, Chris Brown, Trevor Jackson), Jeremy Reeves, and Ray Romulus. In my opinion, Danity Kane is stronger than ever and has a clear focus on what they want to accomplish. I wish they would work out all their issues and focus on Danity Kane and the music not the drama. Their 2nd album, “Welcome to the Dollhouse” was released in 2008 and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart and boasted hit singles “Damaged” and “Bad Girl”.
“DK3” is a great album and takes you on the ride of your life. My favorite songs on the album is “Lemonade” featuring Tyga, “Rhythm of Love”, “Tell Me”, “Two Sides”, “Secret Lover” “Roulette” and “Pieces”. From the album, you can really hear how hard these girls been working on this new project. I am happy they are back on the scene making music that keeps people on their toes. Hopefully they will reunite again and release more music. Lets just keep our fingers crossed!
