When the dynamic girl powerhouse, Danity Kane, first hit the scene in 2006 audiences from all over fell in love with the MTV Making the Band originals. Unlike most famous girl groups, the ladies of DK didn’t know each other for years and just decided to put together a girl group. Danity Kane fans from around the world tuned in every week to capture Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, and Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgette collectively come together through challenging task and processes led by Bad Boy himself, Sean Combs. Through watching the ladies of DK write and record their last two albums for years on the MTV show, it was heartbreaking to hear that the girls were departing ways. Fast-forwarding to 2013, Danity Kane gagged fans as they revealed at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards that they were reuniting and ready to take the music industry by storm.
With one less member and a fashionable new look and sound, Danity Kane is back and ready! Now that the girls are no longer under the heavy watch of Diddy, the girls can run wild and free with their own personal aesthetics which make the group unique. With all the girls branching from various backgrounds and cities they all have their own unique style. Whether it’s Dawn Richard and her edgy yet high-fashion ensembles to Aubrey O’day and her sexy chic pieces, they girls collectively and individually know how to look great! Now with all the teasing of their highly anticipated reunion over the last several months, DK has finally released new music. The group’s comeback single, “Bye Baby,” which was released earlier this week sounds like it will be a huge hit on the charts and hopefully their fashion will be a huge hit as well! Just like most Danity Kane fans, I can’t wait to see what 2014 have in store for the four talented ladies. Do the girls still have what it takes?
