Lets get ready for Summer 2018 bodies and swim wear, NOW! You might think it’s too soon for summer plans but when it comes to fashion there’s no such thing as too early. It is a crime if your fashion is too late!

Last weekend Kontrol’s senior fashion editor Andrea Young attended D.C. Swim Week 2017 in Washington D.C at the French Embassy for review of Summer 2018 collections. The fashion show included some of the “it” designers we should know about. These designers provided elegant, chic and simple looks for beach, swim and resort for the every day woman.
One of our favorite swimwear brands was Bathhouse Swimwear by Bernard L. Moore Jr. But, Bathhouse swimwear isn’t new to the fashion world. This custom made swim line has been worn by some of our favorite celebrities. In 2010 Lisa Raye graced the cover of Black Men Magazine in a custom Bathhouse two-piece swim-suit. According to dcswimweek.com Bernard has also collaborated with some celebs such as Nelly, P.Diddy, Tyson Beckford and much more!

For Bathhouse this season runway show was everything palm trees and jungle realness. If your planning a Miami trip, Bathhouse has the swimwear made for a yacht.
Another favorite for D.C Swim Week that graced the runway elegantly was Tygerian Lace swimwear by Charlotte designer Tygerian.
A collection that is as bold as the women that wear it.

Tygerian Lace was launched in 2015 and since has taken the fashion world by hand to walk to the Tygerian beat. The swimwear designs were black and white palette expressing so much sophistication. Each model walked the runway in one piece and two-piece swimsuits and a display of cover ups as well for a resort feel. This collection is perfect for cruising, making Tygerian Lace swimwear wearable for year round just like the cruise ship sailing schedules all year long. We well definitely keep track if these designers to watch!
