As a Bulls fan, I can understand the pain that Chicago is going through right now. What seems to be an annual tradition has occurred once again: Derrick Rose is injured. No surprise but, it still stings.
Derrick Rose reportedly went to the Chicago Bulls medical staff Tuesday during practice to report some pain in his right knee. He was pulled in for a MRI and doctors found that Rose has a meniscus tear in his right knee; the same injury that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the 2013-2014 season in the same knee.
There is no word on how long this injury will keep D. Rose on the bench. Experts say we will not know until after Rose goes through surgery. “The Bulls and Rose decided to fix the meniscus tear instead of cutting the damaged part out in order to elongate Rose’s career,” ESPN reports.
With so many injuries occurring in the most important parts of the body in sports at such an early stage of his career, people are wondering if Rose will be able to sustain a solid and productive career. Now in sports, many of athletes have come back from injuries similar to Rose’s and have had successful careers. Let’s hope the same happens for Derrick Rose. Get well soon….if you would’ve eaten those Wheaties like I told you earlier this season, you would still be in business *flaps coat tail and runs away crying*
