Following the same edgy-cool aesthetic that its knows for, the team at Diesel is clearly never short on one thing–style. Comprised of neutrals kindled with subtle hints of metallic textiles over blues and brooding black, the Diesel line has the appeal of a spring/summer collection that wanted to be pre-fall. Leather jackets on models like armor, shielding them from the elements and long-sleeve sweaters adorned with graphic patterns set that impression in early and reinforced my original notion on contemporary style–everyone’s just waiting around for fall.
Even if Diesel’s collection doesn’t scream spring, it says something that’s perhaps more important–signature style. Outerwear, one thing that Diesel’s known for features strongly in this collection. I’m always excited to see a graffiti stained biker or bomber jacket thrown in to shake things up and to remind the viewer just who they’re looking at. As much as it excites me it makes me all the more curious about what’s in store of the fall/winter collection.
