I know we all wonder how some people obtain their natural “glow”. Were they born with flawless skin? Do they wear bronzer 24/7 365? or Do they just drink gallons upon gallons upon gallons of water on a daily basis? Well, it really isn’t that hard to acquire bright skin, that radiantly glows whenever you enter a room (I’m exaggerating… a little). But in reality, it really isn’t hard at all.
Of course, you must drink water on a daily basis and no, not one measly bottle of Poland Spring, try to aim for a gallon of water a day. Once you get in the habit of doing that, go to your nearest grocery store and buy yourself some fruits and vegetables. Oranges, apples, lemons, cucumbers, bananas, are some that have previously worked for me in the past. If you want to try making a home made facial scrub, be sure to also purchase some brown sugar and honey. Using the honey, brown sugar, and lemon juice, mix them together until you get a scrub-like base. Following this, use that mixture to scrub and cleanse your face. Be sure to let the scrub sit for at least 5- 10 minutes before completely washing it off. Repeat this process 2- 3 times a week in order to see results.
Don’t worry the other fruits and vegetables are not going to go to waste. Before you go to bed try placing the orange or banana peel on your face. The Vitamin C in oranges can be used as skin bleacher, or another method of brightening your skin. Like the orange peel, the extract from the banana peel also helps tone the skin in addition to naturally cleansing pores so you can use them as well. Cucumbers can also be placed over your eyes to prevent puffiness or in other words, BAGS (those things that we hate)! If you’re tired of spending money on expensive facial scrubs that have done your skin no justice, try one of these remedies and document your results. You will be AMAZED!
