Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler are back for their third comedic collaboration! Following in the footstep of majorly funny films, “50 First Dates,” and “The Wedding Singer,” this dynamic duo are ready to deliver laughs this Memorial Day weekend in “Blended.” This time around, they are two single parents set up on a blind date. Unsurprisingly, things between them go from disastrous to hellish very quickly. they leave the date both agreeing they NEVER want to see each other again. In a wierd twist of fate they both sign up for and win faboulous vacations for them and their kids with a catch–they have to stay in the same suite together for a week! Can you say “mayhem?”
The trailer for this film is nothing short of hilarious. You can definitely tell you need to wear your pants with the elastic waistline to keep your from injuring yourself from gut busting laughter. Drew Barrymore is “Lauren,” your typical doting mother with a killer protective streak. Whereas, Adam Sandler is Jim the gritty, laissez faire kind of dad. I particularly enjoyed seeing “Shake It Up’s” Bella Thorne in the film. Comedy will come natural to her. It is really good the summer of 2014 is shaping up to be one of diversity. Not only do we need to jump up and down from numerous action thrillers we also need to laugh until it hurts and occasionally run to the restroom to keep from peeing on ourselves. Sandler and Barrymore are legends on their own right! That’s enough to convince me to see it! It better be for you too! Check out “Blended,” Friday, May 23rd!
