Zayn Malik. This generation’s “I’m going to break out from the boy band that made me successful” bad boy and he’s has no plans on looking in just “One Direction” of his career anymore. He recently did an interview and how-to with GQ that seemed too awesome to be true. He’s not your typical teen superstar turned adult. If you thought JT was edgy when he broke off from N*SYNC then you’re not ready for Zayn.
Zayn prides himself on being different from the rest and being a style renegade. He embraces and embodies his new grunge look. In his interview with GQ; Zayn states “It’s about being happy to look a bit scruffy,” about his style. We couldn’t agree more. Embracing what makes him different and unique is what has made him shine. Shining is almost an understatement because his new projects are about to Milky way bright. Since he’s into the ‘Rock’ look (meaning dark shirts, skinny jeans, big boots and messy hair) he naturally gravitated to the edgy rock star of designers, Giuseppe Zanotti. Since he’s into biker boots; he and Giuseppe decided to make their mutual interests into a project. How phenomenal is that!
“I’m being very, like, blessed at the minute by God or whoever it is [lighter flick], fate or whatever, so um, there’s a lot of offers come our way at the minute with different things to do with fashion. And hopefully I get to get involved in all of them. I’d love to just continually have a presence, because I feel like it’s very heavily tied into music and the image and the fashion, and it’s all kind of one thing. So you kinda gotta be in there, I guess.”
