Who would have thought that a bra can provide more than just support for, well, your boobs? I had the pleasure of being invited to an exclusive blogger event with Vanity Fair Lingerie for their #LiftTOUR: a nationwide bus tour that has a focus on philanthropy and of course great fitting bras.

One of Vanity Fair’s last stops was in Atlanta, where they have partnered with Dress for Success Atlanta to invite the community to come out to several Atlanta locations or ‘stops’ to receive a free bra fitting with a Vanity Fair Fit Expert.  For every woman who has a fitting, Vanity Fair will donate a brand-new bra to Dress for Success Atlanta.  Dress for Success is a non-profit that is dedicated to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support.  With many of these women lacking in intimate apparel, the donated bra will definitely come in handy in helping to support these women in more ways than one in their journey to success.

The set-up of the event was very special and took you on your own journey of giving.  Not only did we get to donate a bra after our own bra fitting, we were also able to share kind words to the recipients of the bras.  To be able to imagine a woman in need, not only financially, but emotionally receiving the bra that I donated along with the kind words that I was able to share gave me an overwhelming feeling of joy and gratitude.  This event made me so grateful for the position that I am in to be able to inspire and empower people.

The wonderful people of Vanity Fair and Crossroads put the icing on the cake.  They were a pleasure to be around; great conversations were had by all! I definitely left inspired and tremendously grateful.  I look forward to supporting Vanity Fair and Dress for Success in their philanthropic initiatives in the future.
