Yesterday’s event was one not to have been missed. All of Atlanta’s up and coming socialites, bloggers etc. all gathered in the Means Streets Studio 51 to celebrate a dope collaboration to end out #Summer16 waves, the Future X Reebok VIP Experience. KontrolMag was invited to the private event to help celebrate the tastemakers and trendsetters in Atlanta at the intersection of style and music. So get ready because here’s the scoop of what went down.

The event took place right before Future hit the stage for his current tour, the exclusive seeding lounge featured some of the bold and forward-thinking Reebok styles that Future has been sporting throughout his performances.

If you don’t already know earlier this summer, Reebok Classic and Future created tremendous buzz in the industry when they officially announced their long-term creative partnership, POW! #Summer16 moves lol. I mean After Kendrick Lamar; this is the second significant team-up with a rapper in recent time. Future had been posting about Reebok on his personal Instagram account for weeks prior to the drop, hinting at a possible big announcement, which has now finally come to fruition with this collab.

In recent interviews with the Vice President of Reebok, “Future exudes the type of fearlessness and authenticity that Reebok Classic stands for,” said Todd Krinsky, global vice president of Reebok Classic and Entertainment. “This partnership not only continues our brand’s longstanding legacy of working with the world’s best hip-hop artists, but also solidifies Reebok Classic’s commitment to never back down from pushing boundaries. I’ve had a preview of what’s to come from Future and Reebok and I can’t wait for everyone to see!” So the collaboration was a definite match between the Atlanta Rapper and sportswear brand.

 Now that I’ve enlightened you on this dope collab lets continue about the event yesterday. From beginning to end the event was “live” but in a classy way, from being led into the private event by a beautiful model to also being catered by top-notch cheffing. I mean nothing sounds more like a social get together than dope music, good food, great friends, an occasional celebrity socialite here and there, oh and also some great clothes and shoes.

Future’s “Overbranded” Insta Pump Fury kicks were the highlight of the event, and by the look and feel of the shoe Reebok is trying a new silhouette finished with a leather texture which just leads to the imagination of what Future and the sportswear brand will cook up in “future” terms of speaking. Basically to make a long review short the event was popping and it basically let us know that the collaboration on clothing and shoes from Future and Reebok will be lit!
