Revolt TV has launched its ‘HELLO Harlem’ Summer series in support of The Boys and Girls Club in the local organizations very own city of Harlem. Last night, the Second event of ten in the series was hosted at the chic and modern, Park 112. The event was detailed with a delicious and unique menu featuring Red Snapper tacos, smoked sea scallops accompanied by cauliflower cheese grits, jerk chicken lollipops and spring rolls, lamb ribs, crispy prawn and tuna tartar. The restaurant is equipped with a Parisian inspired self-service wine station affording patrons a creative and sophisticated tasting experience.
Lewis Tucker the restaurant’s owner, and former Boys and Girls Club participant recently opened Park 112, back in December of 2013. Tucker opened up about growing up in Harlem, and the safe haven The Boys and Girls Club was for him. The pivotal experience would aid in his future success as a college graduate from Tuskegee University, Record Executive at Uptown Records and Restaurateur. Tucker has traveled the world, and worked with some of the world’s most notable names. Returning to Harlem, and The Boys and Girls Club was a “slow progression” that has awarded him the opportunity to share his experiences with his community. In addition to hosting Revolt TV’s charity event, Lew still dedicates his time to the BGCA every Sunday playing Baseball with the local participants.
‘Hello Harlem’ attendee’s included Uptown Magazine, Vaughn Mac, also known as “Mr. Fro Hawk” Diddy’s Personal Advisor, Former Mayor David Paterson, an unintentional Peter Thomas, and many more. When asked about the event Peter said, “ I was just in here sitting down to eat, and all of this just happened”. Luckily he stayed, and mingled and showed support for such a phenomenal cause. It was clear that all the attendee’s, especially those native to Harlem, were passionate about making a positive change in the community, and in the lives of the youth of their community.
The Boys and Girls Club of America can be found in over 7,000 locations around the Country. The organization is dedicated to promoting positive development in youth, as well as participation in The Arts. As the owner of Revolt TV, Diddy has dedicated himself and his network to making a substantial impact on the organization, and subsequently the youth within the community. Kudos to Mr. Combs, Lewis Tucker and all those in support of Harlem, and the city’s youth.
