I love a good poncho. The bigger they are the better. Wearing a poncho is like wearing your favorite blanket in public and it being deemed as acceptable. Because ponchos are super trendy now, you can find them in an array of colors and shapes. Styling ponchos are easy because they can act as that third piece or statement piece to any outfit.
How to Wear It
Because ponchos can act as outerwear or as a top to your outfit, you have an array of options on how you could wear them. Whether you wear them with jeans, leggings, pants, shorts, or skirts, the idea is to keep your proportions even and appropriate. With ponchos having movement and being loose fitting, making sure the rest of your outfit is more streamlined and minimal keeps you proportions right and helps the entire outfit flow. As long as you remember to keep your proportions together, there really is no wrong way to style a poncho – they are that versatile.
I decided to pair mine with my favorite black jeggings, a fitted t-shirt, topped off with my go to felt hat. To round out my outfit a bit, I added gold accessories, fringed booties and streamlined my outfit a bit more with a minimalist clutch.
