Young rich n****s Migos did a charitable act this week as they visited a local Atlanta high school to donate money.
According to Hip Hop Wired, Migos went to Booker T. Washington High to donate $1,000 along with Skippa Da Flippa, Rich The Kid, Johnny Cinco, and OG Maco. After pictures circulated of the group, who tends to rap about selling drugs and making stacks and stacks of money, the gesture didn’t sit well with some people and in this case this picture told a thousand words.
Wearing tons of gold jewelry, obviously hinting that they have a lot money and draped in designer clothes (I’m sure), they presented the school with an oversized check and Twitter went crazy shaming the group for only giving the school $1,000 when they should have given more.
Now we could say it’s the thought that counts and donations are always great, but when you’re wearing gold jewelry presenting a check worth only $1,000 it kind of makes people give you the side eye. Sometimes subtly is best. Somebody should’ve told them to change before presenting that check, but still a donation is a donation.
Check out fans reaction to the gesture and the Migos response to their donation from Complex.
