The scene was set – comfortable standing room, half priced drinks, DJ Era on the 1s and 2s and a crowd of music lovers chanting “Yani Simone” to the top of their lungs. Hosted by DJ Lady B and catered by Cupcakes by Shanna, event goers were set for an incredible show. Opening was King Jai with a strong southern flair. Then it smoothed out with a performance by Keion Lucky, Yani’s older brother, with R&B-ish tunes that made the crowd sway from left to right. Then – the headliner. Yani Simone rocked the house. With a full band, four backup singers and remarkable showmanship, that night at Vinyl was one to remember.
