Today, I went out to buy NARS New Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation. I heard a lot of great reviews about this foundation. I am a black woman with EXTREME oily skin. It’s hard for me to find foundations that are completely true to the phrase “oil-free.” I was attracted to the foundation because it claims to have a 16-hour staying power! I wanted to put that logic to the test.

So first I primed my skin. I used my favorite BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector!
Finding my shade:
When purchasing I notice the shade range for deeper tones did not state the exact truth. The NARS experts wanted me to choose Dark 1 “Manaus” which had a caramel undertone. I normally choose foundations with deep neutral/olive undertone. Instead of listening to the expert, I choose what I felt was best. I decided to purchase Dark 3 in “Iguacu” which is a deeper shade with olive undertone. The NARS “experts” should go back to the drawing board when finding out good undertones for WOC. I would have been completely dissatisfied if I would have chosen the lighter shade.
Here are the Details:

Your future looks radiant with Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation” – via www.narscosmetics.com
True or False:
Coverage: Medium-to-full, buildable coverage(True, this is a full coverage foundation)
Skin Type: Normal, combination, and oily skin types(False, I believe this would work better with normal skin/combo skin types)
Finish: Natural, radiant finish(True, gorgeous finish)
My conclusion of the foundation is IT LOOKS AMAZING! BUT, if you have extremely oily skin. SET IT! BLOT IT! and RE-APPLY! It can come off greasy after a couple of hours. It is as it states radiant. I think this foundation would be wonderful for dry/combo skin. Watch my full review on Youtube below:
