The FreeWishes Foundation presented its 5th Annual Winter Wishland Extravaganza on Sunday, December 17. The holiday filled function took place in the Bessie Braham Park gymnasium located in the Kirkwood area of Atlanta. Infamous DJ and V-103 radio personality Greg Street hosted the entire event.
Giant nutcracker statues, a station to decorate Christmas cookies, and a musical picture booth with Santa and Mrs. Claus were provided for all of the kids to enjoy. They were also given access to Santa’s toy shop filled with mounds of electronics, bikes, game consoles and more. In addition to toys, every child was gifted a brand new coat to take home.
Families received customized hoodies Freebandz Touring. Free food and drinks were provided, along with a special musical performance by the Atlanta Music Project and dancing by the Kali Dance Studio. Special raffles allowed the kids to win iPads, Xbox game systems, and bicycles. An annual dance competition also took place, which presented an additional opportunity for kids to win gifts.
The celebration provided over 600 families in Metro Atlanta with food, gifts, and holiday joy. Founded by Grammy-nominated rapper Future and his mother Stephanie Jester, the FreeWishes Foundation has been providing philanthropic efforts to the community for the last five years. As the acting president of the foundation, Miss Stephanie works with her son and members of their executive board to give back to deserving families.
