Will Smith may have suffered a setback with After Earth, but his latest flick, Focus, has all the makings off a box office hit. Besides co-starring with Margot Robbie, he is not the savior of mankind, not some super soldier, and not yet a DC Comics anti-hero; but he is a professional con man! Will is “Nicky” a con whose latest scheme is thrown for a loop when a woman from his past, “Jess,” is now a noted femme fatale, returns to his life and throws a wrench in his plans. He will need every trick in his book to pull of his latest heist and keep her at bay.
The film looks amazing! Might I add again Margot Robbie is in the film! She is an amazing actress. The chemistry between these two is intoxicating. The cat and mouse game between a con man and femme fatale has to be anything but boring! Perhaps we are getting a peek into the dynamics of Suicide Squad, the upcoming DC Comics film where they portray the anti-hero/super villains, Deadshot and Harley Quinn, respectively. Either way you are in for a real treat. The timing of this movie is perfect as it signals the end of the romance/romantic comedy movie season (Sayonara Fifty Shades of Grey!) and the beginning of “Movie March Madness” as I like to call it, as winter goes out Spring comes in with an array of amazing films sure to capture your attention.
