We were in the building for the screening of the new season premiere of We TV’s Growing Up Hip-Hop Atlanta (GUHHATL)!
The night kicked off with a very cute and classy concessions stand filled with the perfect snacks for a movie night. Movie theater styled complementary boxed candy favorites like Milk Duds, M & M’s and even Swedish Fish. The smell of fresh popcorn filled Midtown’s Woodruff Arts Center and the weather couldn’t have been better for celebrities and exclusively invited guests to get appropriately slayed for the occasion.
Celebrities, reality stars, rising stars and Web Stars in attendance included the cast in attendance alongside their famous parents Jermaine Dupri, Debra Antney and DJ Hurricane. Additional VIPs included Da Brat, Datari Turner (producer, “GrowingUp Hip Hop Atlanta”); “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” stars Estelita Quintero, Karlie Redd and Melissa Scott; Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey (“Real Housewives of Atlanta”); Mama June and daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson (“From Not to Hot”); Trina and Towanda Braxton (“Braxton Family Values”); Gocha Hawkins (“LA Hair”); Quad Webb-Lunceford (“Married to Medicine”); Demetria McKinney (eOne Recording Artist), Gary Hayes (“Dish Nation”), Juicy (“Rickey Smiley Morning Show”), Syleena Johnson (“Sister Circle”), Dawn Halfkenny (“Saints & Sinners”), Bangladesh (music producer); as well as Web Stars Rahim Brazil, Rocc and November. As the seats filled quickly it seems Atlanta was ready for cast members Bow Wow, Zonnique Pullins, Reginae Carter, Shaniah Mauldin, Brandon Barnes and Ayana Fite to return and the cast ready to show us their growth.

WETv introduced the event as well as gave us a sneak peek into the return of Bridezilla! Without giving away too much just stay tuned for a hilarious season!!!
As we all know in Season 1 Bow Wow returns to Atlanta to record his final studio album but runs into trouble at the studio. Since last season Bow Wow has grown although we have to wait and see what drama unfolds with Jermaine Dupree and DaBrat due to Bow wanting to make Executive decisions. Zonnique continues to step up to take control over her music career. and is very focused on creating her identity in this season. Reginae, 19 now and in college, last year the conflict with castmate Brandon Barnes got out of control!!! We, literally have watched this young girl grow into a beautiful young woman who genuinely reminded us in the audience that “she is young and makes mistakes” this left us all wondering what’s going to happen next with Reginae and Brandon as we hope they sort out their differences.
Shaniah, Jermaine Dupri’s daughter returns, but with a secret boyfriend???!!! Let’s see how this unfolds this season. Brandon is back and with no patience for anyone or anything but focused on Artist Development. We had the pleasure of being introduced to, Promise, his managed group. They were so good, Reginae got up to give Brandon his props on their work. Ayana is fierce hunnayyy!! This season the young Mogul and entrepreneur is focused on growing and managing her clothing line Cozy Closet, where sexy meets comfort. Overall, this season is starting to look very interesting as we see the young Hip Hop moguls create their own lanes in the Hip Hop history like their parents.
Make sure you catch Season 2 Episode 1 of Growing Up Hip Hop ATL this Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 9:00PM EST!
