Okay, we realize most celebs enjoy their privacy and all but we’re a little lost for words on how we should address the newly wed Halle Berry. Is she still Ms. Berry or did she take her man’s last name? We need those details! Despite all the secrecy, a few details of her nuptials with French actor Olivier Martinez were somehow leaked to the media and we learned she and her then fiancé exchanged vows during a small ceremony at a French chateau this past weekend.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were spotted for the first time as husband and wife Monday after tying the knot Saturday.
The newlyweds arrived at Los Angeles International Airport with Berry’s 5-year-old daughter, Nahla.
Martinez held the girl in his arms as she appeared to be sleeping with one arm wrapped around her stepdad’s neck. Meanwhile, the 46-year-old actress walked ahead displaying her growing baby bump in a form-fitting black outfit.
Their nuptials were held July 13 in a mystic ceremony approximately one hour south of Paris in the historic town of Vallery. Held at Chateau des Conde, the intimate affair was reportedly attended by 60 guests and officiated by a local mayor shortly after 4 p.m. Berry and Martinez, 47, then engaged in a religious ceremony in the church on the chateau’s grounds at 5:30 p.m.
“White marquees were put up around the grounds and everyone was very discreet because it was a show-business wedding, but generally it was pretty down-to-earth,” a source told E!
Despite the secrecy photographers were able to take a snapshot of the bride as Berry, wearing a white gown, arrived at the chateau in a white station wagon.
Berry and Martinez met in 2010 on the set of their movie “Dark Tide.”
The couple is expecting their first child together, a baby boy. While this is the first matrimony for Martinez it is not for the “Monster’s Ball” actress.
She was previously married to David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and again to singer Eric Benet from 2001 to 2005.
Well they sure make a good looking couple but Halle can pretty much make all things and people look good. Perhaps the third time is a charm, let’s hope they make it last forever!
