New Network, New Cast! Hit The Floor is BACK!

It was a little over a year ago when we had to report VH-1’s Hit The Floor was ending after it Summer 2016 movie special. Naturally, the outcry from the fans, and rightfully so, has been huge. The series was easily VH-1’s best original series to date and its cancellation seemed totally unjustified. It sounded all too much like its sister series, Single Ladies, another VH-1 original series cancelled way too soon and without any provocation.

Well we are happy to report that Hit The Floor is being renewed on a new network and with a new cast for its fourth season!

BET has picked up the hit series, and is currently airing all of its past seasons so audiences can catch up. However, the newest season will feature some new faces and major cast members from previous seasons only in guest roles. A source close to the renewed series reports Rob Riley, McKinley Freeman, and Logan Browning who played the characters, Terence Wall, Derek Roman, and Jelena Howard, respectively; will only be back as guest stars due to contract with other projects they have since taken up. Terence is gearing up for The CW’s Dynasty reboot, McKinley is on Daytime Divas and Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse, and Logan is starring in Netflix’s Dear White People original series.

There is no word on the status of other cast members, but we do hope Taylour Paige and Adam Senna will return to reprise their roles of Ahsha Hayes and Zero, respectively. We are glad Hit The Floor has been picked back up but we hope BET can keep it at the quality VH-1 had. The Game definitely went down–quality wise–when it went from UPN to BET. Production on Season 4 of the series is slated to start in September. We should have some news–and interviews–for you soon!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, whe it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -MIKEY
