Rising star Jade Novah has been known for covering other artist’s songs and making them her own but now she is ready to debut some of her own original music. She released the teaser to her My debut single “Show Out” which will be available on iTunes August 12th. We LOVE us some Jade Novah and can’t wait to hear “Show Out” If you’re not familiar with her music, check out her cover of Stay by Rihanna below.
Having worked with the iconic Missy Elliott and mogul Tyler Perry, Jade is no stranger to the fun filled world of music and entertainment. With nearly 14 million combined hits on Youtube, 11 million of which came from her popular cover of Rihanna’s Diamonds, Jade, born Lindsay Fields, is getting a lot of well-deserved attention. In 2012 Rolling Stone editors were so impressed with her Diamonds cover that they graded her performance and presentation an A+ and had this to say: “…a singer with vocal chops that give Ri-Ri a run for her money and with enough of her own bright-eyed personality to come across like an artist in her own right.” Additionally, she napped a top five spot on Ryan Seacrest’s list of favorite new covers of Christmas classics.
One facet of Jade Novah that has made its way around the blog circuit is her spot on impersonation of Beyonce. The character she’s created, dubbed Keyonce Bowles, has been featured on popular sites such as Worldstar Hip Hop, and the latest video “Keyonce: Life is But a Scream” has reached over 70,000 views in only a few short days. It’s safe to say that this young lady is a comedic genius, and it doesn’t stop there. In January 2013, the Recording Academy, in partnership with Hitlab, announced Jade as the winner of its Emerging Talent Competition. The competition launched in November 2012, and was designed to provide an unsigned musician the chance to perform at an official GRAMMY Week event. Jade was the headline act at the 4th Annual Social Media Rock Stars Summit reception on February 8th and had the opportunity to walk the red carpet and attend the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards and official GRAMMY Celebration after-party!
