Jasmine “Razor Chic” Collins Stuns at Sheen Magazine’s Kimmie Awards

Recognized for her innovative hairstyling techniques and commitment to ‘Restoring Crowns’ after hairloss, Jasmine “Razor Chic” Collins was honored as a Beauty Innovator at Sheen Magazine’s Kimmie Awards on April 28

On April 28, 2018 in Atlanta, GA,  Sheen Magazine hosted their annual Kimmie Awards which honored a host of stars including power actor Rotimi; social media star, Kway; music mogul Dr. Mathew Knowles; Empire actress, Serayah; Saints & Sinners actor, Keith Robinson; celebrity makeup artist, AJ Crimson; and Project Runway contestant Terri Stevens to name a few.  Amongst these honorees was the award-winning and New York Times acclaimed hairstylist Jasmine “Razor Chic” Collins who proudly accepted her award recognition in style. Looking like the belle of the ball, she rocked a show-stopping ensemble which included a fitted long-sleeve, pastel pink top with shoulder cutouts and a sparkling silver belt. She also rocked cream colored cigarette pants with a long pastel pink layered tulle skirt flowing behind her as she glided through the room. She topped the ensemble off with pink feathered high-heeled sandals to match.

“Outside of hair, my other passion is fashion,” states Jasmine Collins.  “When getting dressed, I approach my attire like I approach hairstyling– I choose the best products and pay special attention to every detail to ensure a complete, posh and outstanding look.  Based on all of the compliments, it looks like my wardrobe choices for the Kimmie Awards were a hit!”

Renowned as an internationally revered hairstylist with more than 25 years experience, Jasmine was honored in the Beauty Innovator category for her groundbreaking work in the hair community as a miracle worker of scalp and hair. Jasmine’s popularity boomed after releasing a video in which she seamlessly veils the thinning hair of a young client with weave-related traction alopecia, using only the client’s natural hair. Since then, Jasmine was recently featured in the New York Times for dedicating her career toward empowering women to embrace their “real hair” while spreading her industry knowledge to licensed & unlicensed hair stylists, salon owners, licensed booth renters, licensed freelance hair stylists, cosmetology educators, and licensed salon product educators.

Jasmine’s jaw-dropping client transformations have not only restored the hair and scalp health of her clients, but also the peace, joy, and confidence in rocking their own hair, hence, her new mantra and theme for 2018 — Restoring Crowns. By Restoring Crowns, Jasmine is on a mission to provide women with liberating haircuts to stop them from hiding bald spots and thinning edges with damaging weaves, wigs, and braids.

It was this very mindset and innovative industry knowledge which earned Jasmine her honor at the Kimmie Awards as a Beauty Innovator Honoree. Jasmine was so grateful to the Kimmy Awards for being recognized that she took to her Instagram page to post the following message: “Wow! God keeps sending blessings! I am so incredibly honored to be one of the honorees! Thank you all for your continuous support. It means so much!”
