Pop star Justin Bieber is fresh off a butt-whooping that he’ll probably never forget. After getting his fair taste of shade and throwing a little shade his self on his Comedy Central’s Roast, the Biebs is back in studio getting ready to work on his forthcoming album. And by no surprise, he has some big names helping him with his future project.
Bieber talked to USA Today last weekend in promotion of his Roast ceremony. He also discussed his new perspective on life and his new project. Bieber revealed that his upcoming album will reflect his growth in music and in his personal life. “What can I say, it’s life experiences, and knowing that you can and get back up and keep going,” he said. “Hope and faith, that’s what’s gotten me through this too, my faith. What I believe in. You’re around some people sometimes and it might taint what you believe. I think that’s what happened with me, I lowered my beliefs.”
He also revealed that he is working with all-star producers Kanye West and Rick Rubin for his new project. The 21-year-old artist says he threw out the previous version of his new album and re-worked it to reflect where he is as a person right now. “My whole direction has changed,” he said. “What you are thinking about all the time is what you write, and now that I’m thinking about more positive things, it completely changes my music. I had to re-do my whole (new) album. It was done but it didn’t match up to where I am now and where my head’s at. I want to tell my story, but I also want to give people hope. I lost hope for a while, I was in a dark place, but it’s about getting out of that rut. It’s about knowing there’s sunshine on the other side.”
