It’s only the second week of the show’s airing, and Mama Joyce is already stirring up some drama.

You may remember from last week’s episode, how Mama Joyce drops the bomb on Kandi and her sisters that Todd was raised by pimps and prostitutes (referring to his dad and mom).

Well Kandi runs back to Todd and tells him half of what her mother said. She told Todd that her mom said that his daddy was a pimp, purposely leaving out the allegations against his mother. Well Todd still took offense to Joyce’s comments, because his father was never really in his life because he has been long deceased.

Todd can no longer keep quiet, and he tells Kandi that he must say something to her. Kandi brings the two of them together to hash things out.

Kandi’s mom claimed to Todd that she likes him but she doesn’t like “the game.” She also said that she heard these pimp rumors from people from the “streets” that she knew back in New York, which is where Todd is from.

Well Todd challenges her to reveal who these people from the “streets” are, so they can hash things out. But of course Mama Joyce diverts the conversation into a different subject about Todd. Joyce claims she was mad at Todd for saying she was trying to “set him up,” by having someone keep an eye on him. She says that she was only hiring someone to follow him around, not to do anything else.

While all this going on, Kandi continues to keep her opinions to her self and allow Todd to fend for himself. The disagreement ended with Joyce telling Kandi that she supports them getting married, but she said it with out sincerity.

Also in the episode Kandi meets with her father and discussed with him about his absence during most of her life. He claims that Mama Joyce is the reason why he wasn’t there. She allegedly pushed him away and filed a restraining order. But when Kandi asked Joyce, she denied it all.

Kandi eventually asked her dad to read their nuptials, while her mother gives them away. Even though he is honored, he warns Kandi that Mama Joyce needs to cut out her behavior.

At the end, Mama Joyce’s turns down Kandi’s request of walking her down the isle.

Next week’s episode seems juicy because it looks like Mama Tucker and Mama Joyce are finally going to go toe to toe. Can’t Wait!
