John Jones finally found the woman of his dreams. Kim Baker was the complete package—full-figured, successful and beautiful. She was also married to someone else, but so was he. Car trouble brought Kim into John’s life, and they became fast friends. Now that their relationship had been solidified, neither was prepared for the repercussions of their actions.
Kevin Baker thought an interoffice affair would be just what he needed to spice up the dullness of being married to Kim. Brenda Jones was a plus-size beauty with the right amount of class, sexual abandon and bankroll to keep a man like Kevin satisfied. He planned to divorce Kim as soon as he could entice Brenda to leave the lap of luxury she shared with her husband, John. What Kevin didn’t expect was his harmless flirting leading him down a dangerous path.
Stephanie Brown was Brenda’s new assistant. She had her sights set on Kevin as well. In her mind, Brenda was a temporary obstacle that would disappear once she was able to charm the pants off of Kevin—literally. When Stephanie unexpectedly discovers information about Brenda and Kevin, she realizes she holds the cards to everyone’s happiness in the palm of her hands.
As their lives intertwine, they learn an important lesson… Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it!

Me & Mrs. Jones – Part II (Excerpt)
By Michelle Cuttino
Brenda stretched out leisurely on the bed and watched as John got dressed. She smiled approvingly at his attire. Brenda had to admit John was one sexy specimen. She loved how secure he made her feel.
“My, my, my, don’t we look sharp?” Brenda whistled.
“What? These rags?” John smoothed out his shirt and modeled briefly for Brenda.
“Who are you getting all dolled up for? You fooling around on me?”
“Why you asking? You fooling around on me?” John stared at her.
“Please.” Brenda said with a wave of her hand. “Where would I find the time?”
“I don’t know. All those late nights at the office are pretty questionable. Who knows, you might be seeing your secretary.”
“You know my secretary’s a woman.” Brenda laughed.
“And? You know gay is the new black.”
Brenda threw a pillow at him.
“You better be lucky I don’t want to be late.”
“Late for what? Where are you going anyway?” Brenda propped herself up on one elbow and studied John.
“I told you already. I’m having a business brunch with that real estate agent I met the other day. He says he has some good office space available, and you know I’m looking to relocate.”
“Yeah, but why on a Sunday?” Brenda wasn’t buying it. He was too damned chipper and looked too damned good to be meeting up with some man he didn’t know to talk properties and leases.
“Because he’s going out of town on vacation tomorrow, and I wanted to study the figures while he was gone.”
Brenda raised an eyebrow. “And just what time is your appointment anyway?”
“One o’clock. I’ll be back around seven. Why?”
Brenda forgot all about her suspicions and quickly did the mental calculation in her head. Six hours would give her more than enough time to…
“Brenda, are you planning on answering me, or are you going to continue to sit there with that shit-eating grin on your face?”
“Um, yeah. I just wanted to know.” Brenda tried to regain her composure. She sat up on the bed and looked at the clock. “You’d better get going. It’s already 12:15.”
“So now you’re rushing me?” He shook his head. “Don’t worry, I’m leaving right now. See you later.” John bent to kiss her and Brenda placed her cheek to his lips. He shook his head and walked away.
Brenda waited until she heard the front door close then grabbed her cell phone off the end table. She found the number she was searching for and sang along to Al Green’s Love & Happiness ringback tone. A woman answered and Brenda grimaced.
“Hello, may I please speak to Kevin Baker?” She used her office voice just in case this call ever came back to bite her. She waited through a few moments of a low and strained conversation and was happy when she finally heard his sexy baritone on the line.
“Do you want to be naughty? John’s out till seven. How about you come over for a spell… Okay see you in a bit.” She threw the phone on the bed and ran towards the bathroom, hastily shedding her clothes.

Get to know Michelle:
Question #1: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Michelle: I was born and raised in Bronx, New York, and spent my formative years between New York and my parents’ hometown of Georgetown, South Carolina. I am an author, plus-size blogger, book reviewer, and columnist/contributing writer for several publications. I’ve written professionally for print and film, including the optioning of a screenplay with Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Films, Inc. I currently head Big Body Broadcasting, my BlogTalkRadio network, and I am the President and CEO of my own publishing company, Big Body Publishing.
Question #2: I love the name “Queen of Plus-Size Fiction.” It represents unapologetic strength. What’s the story behind it?
Michelle: My parents taught me the key to success is doing something you love, and getting paid for it. My passion is writing. With writing, I was told you must write what you know. Incorporating the two concepts, I decided to write fiction geared towards the plus-size population. I am a full-figured woman, who loves the skin I’m in. My characters personify me as well as those I encounter in my daily surroundings. I always felt if I was going to do anything, I needed to do it bigger and better than the competition. In order to reign effectively, rulers assume a title. My title is the Queen of Plus-Size Fiction.
Question #3: Give us some background on Big Body Publishing and why you formed this niche company.
Michelle: I was always told to find a niche and fill it. I created Big Body Publishing to fill a need that was not being served in the publishing industry. We are the premiere publishing company for content written by and geared towards the plus-size population. Big Body Publishing gives a voice to the confident, mature and sexy side of full-bodied temptresses.
Question #4: Your debut novel, Love and Happiness, is one of the first romantic stories I’ve read that’s built around a plus size character. Tell us about the book.
Michelle: Love & Happiness is about Roxanne Linden, a plus-size vixen, who expertly manages her marketing firm while her attempts at controlling her personal life are faltering. In her quest for fulfillment, she unsuccessfully juggles her engagement to fiancé, Mark Watkins, her complex dealings with her stepsister and ex-lover, Ayana Linden, and her no-holds-barred affair with Royal T. Roaman—who just so happens to be Mark’s nemesis, and Ayana’s new obsession. As their lives intertwine and begin to spiral out of control, truths are unearthed, betrayals come to light and futures are threatened. Once Roxanne realizes she may lose everything due to her misplaced affections, she must assume responsibility for her actions and make a final decision before she, or one of her lovers, lose everything—including their life.
Question #5: Your eBook series, Me & Mrs. Jones, is an adaptation of your screenplay optioned with Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Films. How did this opportunity come to pass?
What many don’t know is I started out writing screenplays. I have ten completed manuscripts in my library, in addition to Me & Mrs. Jones. Back then, Latifah had just started her Flavor Unit Films production company, and was in search of scripts. I queried, and the rest is history. They optioned the screenplay twice, but the story never made it to the big screen. Since I believed it in so much, I decided to turn it into an eBook series.
Question #6: Tell us about the Me & Mrs. Jones eBook series.
Michelle: To quote one of my reviews, “This was a great scandalous romp into the lives of some interesting folk…Such a tangled web of lies and sex…Readers who love the messy passions of ABC’s Scandal, and the interoffice sleeping around that has taken place on most day time soap operas will truly enjoy “Me & Mrs. Jones”… “ Me & Mrs. Jones is like a five-way love affair. It’s a three-part series based around two full-figured married women – Brenda Jones and Kim Baker. Brenda is a plus-size beauty, who sought excitement by having an inter-office affair with her colleague, Kevin, outside of her ten-year marriage to John. Kim is a thick and sexy executive, and welcomes John’s advances due to the neglect of her husband, Kevin. Stephanie is Brenda’s assistant and when she meets Kevin, their chemistry is undeniable. Fate teaches them all a vital lesson… In the game of love, the things you take for granted, are the things someone else is silently praying for. Parts I and II are out now. Part III will be out this summer.
Question #7: If you went back in time as a seasoned author, what would you tell your novice self?
I would tell myself not to stop. There was a point in my life when writing was all I did. I ate, slept, and drank it, and I was beginning to garner a buzz and make a name for myself. Then all of a sudden, I just stopped. Someone stole my joy, and I let go of my passion. A few years ago, I lost my seven-year-old niece, who was like a daughter to me. Her death inspired me to live life to the fullest, and do what I love. In writing her obituary and eulogy, my love for storytelling was rekindled. I’ve been on a mission ever since. This time I refuse to quit.
