Legal Troubles for Vogue Execs!!
It looks like Anna Wintour might be regretting her decision to put Kanye West and Kim Kardashian on the April cover for Vogue, and not because fashion followers everywhere had what can only be described as complete and total meltdowns and was disguested .
It has come to our attention that a little-known pop singer from the 1970s is suing the magazine for using his song in a behind-the-scenes KimYe video on its website.
A forgotten boy-band from the 1970s who sued Mr. West last year, claiming the rapper swiped one of his songs for a track on his album “Yeezus,” is now going after Vogue for using the tune in a behind-the-scenes video.Rickey Spicer — who sang lead vocals as a 12-year-old Michael Jackson wannabe for the one-hit-wonder group “The Ponderosa Twins Plus One” — was shocked when he heard his voice in the West title “Bound 2.”
His Manhattan civil suit against Vogue publisher Condé Nast says “Mr. Spicer’s voice is used substantially throughout the video, comprising approximately 44 percent of the lyrics.”Vogue has not replied yet to litigations. We will keep a close eye as this progresses!
