The Queen Bee, Lil’ Kim, has officially given birth to a little princess! Kimberly Jones welcomed a 6 lbs, 5 oz bundle of joy on Monday, June 9th, at the Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, around 9:58 am. She named her Royal Reign, which is certainly fitting for the daughter of a queen. I don’t think the name should a shock to anyone.
At age 39, Royal is Kim’s first child with rapper Mr. Papers. She has yet to confirm Papers as the dad but he exclusively told the Rickey Smiley show that he was indeed the father.
Confirmed or not, pictures from their baby shower showed us exactly how little Reign got here. The couple opted not to find out the sex of the baby, so the gender was just as much a shock to them as us. It seems just yesterday she was exclaiming to US Weekly “I’m so excited… I can’t wait to be a mum!”
It’s great to see Lil’ Kim with a family. She’s had her share of heartbreak, legal troubles and unnecessary beefs over the years. We’ve watched her unwavering loyalty to people who didn’t reciprocate it nor had her best intentions in mind, so I know she’ll lay her life on the line for her own child. I believe she’s going to make a great mother and wish her nothing but the best!
