The book chronicles 23 years of Owens’ own musical experience on stage and behind the scenes with international superstar singer/songwriter and 8-time Grammy® Award-Winner LUTHER VANDROSS. Known for his signature falsetto vocal range, Owens provides an inside look at how Luther selected his entourage, handpicked production personnel, created his costumes for his touring productions, handled difficult situations on the road as well as how he created hit song after hit song…and the singer’s total devotion to his fans.

SO AMAZING inspired Luther’s hit song, also recalls fond memories of Luther’s band members, distinguished musicians that include Nat Adderley Jr., Marcus Miller, Byron Miller, Ivan Hampden, Yogi Horton, Doc Powell, Steve Kroon, Tinker Barfield and who enjoyed successful music careers before and after the singer passed away July 1, 2005. Owens also chronicles his relationships with Luther’s other celebrated back-up singers Fonzi Thornton, Lisa Fischer, Ava Cherry, Cindy Mizelle, Paulette McWilliams, Alfa Anderson, Brenda White, Pat Lacey and Cissy Houston.
