As if the Friday series wasn’t pure hilariousness in itself, Ice Cube has now teamed up with funny man Kevin Hart in what’s sure to be a winter blockbuster called ‘Ride Along.’

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube fill the shoes of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, starring as an odd couple of crime fighters. Hart is a school security guard with dreams of becoming a full-fledged police officer who wants to marry the sister of Ice Cube’s character. Born O’Shea Jackson, Ice Cube plays a member of the Atlanta Police Department who tells Hart’s character that in order to marry his sister, he must come on a ride-along with him and prove that he is worthy to marry her.

Directed by Tim Story (“Barbershop”), “Ride Along” also stars John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, and Jay Pharoah. The movie will hit theaters in January 2014.
