Yesterday Jhene Aiko dropped her newest single ‘To Love and Die feat. Cocaine 80s’, from her upcoming album ‘Souled Out’. True to form the soft and sultry voiced vocalist delivers a “lovers anthem” for the streets. The track features a steady bass that Radio waves are sure to love. Aiko’s alter ego “J Henny” even makes a small appearance sampling Rapper 50 Cent’s ‘Many Men’.
Redemption is on the horizon for Ms. Aiko after her Summer Jam flop. Earlier this month Jhene received much backlash from her lack luster performance on the festival stage at Summer Jam. The barefoot songstress, flubbed her lyrics, dropped the mic and admittedly had one too many drinks. Nevertheless, Aiko has effortlessly delivered Summer 2014’s number one hit. Check out the track and tell us what you think. Has Aiko Redeemed herself?
