The injury to the hand was confirmed by the NFL Sunday night stating that the injury could “potentially impact Pierre-Paul’s future with the Giants”. The injury – burns on his palm and three fingers, and possible nerve damage should not prove to be “career threatening” according to reports.

Once reports began to circulate about Pierre-Paul’s injury, neighbors stated that the player had a “whole Uhaul van of fireworks” outside of his house for the holiday. Pierre-Paul even posted a video to Instagram of himself and his infant son close to what to the possible van.

Since 2010, the 26-year-old has been a NY Giant as he joined the team as the fifteenth overall draft pick after his tenure at the University of South Florida.

We hope for a speedy recovery for Pierre-Paul and this goes to show people that fireworks are nothing to play with as it could potentially end your career.
