The superhero news mill is always running, but this time it churned out some major news! Not only are we actually getting a He-Man & The Masters of The Universe movie, but a major Marvel writer is penning the script. Yep, Chris Yost, writer of Thor: Dark World and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok has moved onto He-Man and honestly it is an awesome decision. Yost’s writing will bring the world of Eternia to life like we have never seen it before. Just imagine, the greatest hero of the eighties FINALLY making his cinematic debut in the twenty first century!
Colombia Pictures is producing the highly anticipated film. Perhaps they too can see that Thor and He-Man are actually quite similar characters. Both are muscle bound princes with magical powers that far exceed humanity and most other superhumans. Also, they both wield magical weaponry. Thor has Mjolnir and He-Man has the Sword of Power. Did we also forget to mention they both have bad ass sisters who were stolen and taken to other worlds and raised as warrior women? (Check out Angela [left] and She-Ra [right] below.) We are definitely ready to see what Chris has in store for the denizens of Eternia and the forces of Skeletor. Will you be there front line and center? Let’s just hope the film is a hit and will lead to a ThunderCats movie!
